These are the items I have completed during 2001.

My first big, fine lacy project is the Langsjal Jóhönnu from the Icelandic pattern book Þríhyrnur og Langsjöl or Three-Cornered and Long Shawls.  I loved making this.  This shawl won a 1st place blue ribbon at the 2001 Missouri State Fair.
This is Jill's Lacy Star Cloth that I  made with left-over yarn from the decoration below.  It's too pretty to use on the dishes, so I will use it on the table as a hot pad for dishes.  The pattern is at http://www.knitting-and.com/knitlistgifts/1998/lacystarcloth.htm
This easy to make Fourth of July Decoration called "Americana Pride Welcome" is in the July 2001 issue of Knitting Digest.  It worked up quickly in Sugar 'n Cream kitchen cotton with wooden stars for accent.
This is Sandy's Spiral Bookmark.  I'm giving it to my sister.  I'm working my way up to a real doily.  The pattern is at http://www.artfulstitches.ca/bookmarks/spiralbookmark.html
This is the Child's Irish Cardigan I made for my grandson's seventh birthday.  I used Wool-Ease and since it is knit on smaller needles than usual, it makes a warm jacket.  The pattern is free at http://www.knitting-crochet.com/chiiricar.html
This is the "Little Houses Cloth" from the Dishcloth Boutique.  I uses Lily's Sugar 'n Cream, in an pretty dotted color.  The pattern is on page 4 at http://dishclothboutique.20m.com/kpatterns/knit4.html
These are several hats I made using a basic, generic pattern.  I added my own color design to some of them.  The yarns are various odd balls and left-over bits.  I will send them off to a charity in the fall.
This is a bobbled scarf, hat, and mitten set made of acrylic worsted yarn.  It is called Rambouillet Aran Set and the pattern is in the January 2001 issue of Knitting Digest.
Long and Short Socks were my spring project.  The patterns are in Knitting Lace by Susanna E. Lewis.  I made them out of a fingering weight acrylic yarn.  I made some changes in the sock's colors  and knitting and construction  techniques.  I'm sending these to my granddaughter.
St. Patrick's Day Washcloth was made of Sugar 'n Cream Sport cotton yarn for the knitted-lace list seasonal projects.  It's not exactly a shamrock, but close enough.  I used the club square from the Grand Slam pattern in Marianne Kinzel's Second Book of Modern Lace Knitting.  I gave it to my sister.
Ribbed Yoke Pullover from January '01 Knitting Digest.  I used silver Lion Brand Jiffy.  I like the loose collar.  Haven't decided whether to keep it for me or give it to one of my daughters.
St. Patrick's Day Socks for me using Wool-Ease sport in natural heather and green heather. The pattern was from the ThemeStream site that, unfortunately, is no longer available.
His 'n' Her Heart Socks are my own design.  Her hearts are lacy; his are embossed and don't show up well with the black.  Maybe red would have been better.  Nice for a couple's shower or Valentine's Day gift.  Used Kroy 3-ply.  They were for me and my husband for Valentine's Day 2001.
Honeycomb Boot Socks for me.  Also from March '01 Kitting Digest.  This used up the rest of the gray Wool-Ease sport yarn.

Anchors Aweigh little boy's Gansey style sweater from March '01 Kitting Digest.  I used gray Wool-Ease sport yarn left-over from the cardigan below.  This sweater will go to one of my grandsons.

This is the 'String of Hearts' Bookmark, designed by Judy Gibson.  The pattern is available at http://www.users.cts.com/crash/j/jgibson/knitting/heart-lace.htm.  I made it as part of the Knitted-Lace-List's 'Hearts Project' for Valentine's Day 2001.  It is also a birthday gift for my sister who's birthday is in early February.

This is a Plain Cardigan Sweater I made for my son, Dan.  I used the basic Lion Brand pattern for Earthtone Unisex Knit Cardigan, making adjustments for a different yarn.  Instead of Jiffy, I used Wool-Ease sport weight, also by Lion Brand.  He requested a light weight, dark gray sweater  It made up quickly on #7 needles.
